7 Statistics that Show the State (and Future) of Analytics in the Cloud

As once-common objections and concerns around moving to the cloud (such as security) begin to wane, organizations are identifying and prioritizing business initiatives that might benefit most from a cloud deployment. Business intelligence and analytics is at the top of that list.

Over the next few years, cloud is predicted to be the preferred delivery mechanism for analytics, but recent surveys show that more and more organizations are already there, either in part or in full:

  4. The World Economic Forum’s 2018 Future of Jobs Report surveyed executives from 313 of the world’s largest brands, and found that the four technological advances that are top-of-mind when it comes to the positive drivers of business growth over the next few years are widespread analytics adoption, ubiquitous high-speed mobile internet, artificial intelligence (AI), and cloud technology.
