Every day at Domtar Personal Care, Big Data is transformed into smart insights. This session will explore how Domtar Personal Care leverages Hadoop with MicroStrategy Web and MicroStrategy Mobile to empower business users across the entire organization, including their Finance, Sales, and Marketing departments.

Our Personal Care business encompasses the design, manufacture, marketing, and distribution of adult incontinence (AI) products, infant diapers, and other absorbent products. Given the evolving focus on external audiences (customers, partners, etc.,) for MicroStrategy BI applications, IT organizations are faced with a new set of challenges.  The audiences are larger, with functionality requirements that need to be finely tuned to their needs.  Since training large numbers of external users is out of the question, the user experience needs to be tailored, smooth, and unintimidating. Based on our work with Nielsen, and numerous MicroStrategy OEM customers, we have developed a number of customizations that add value to external BI applications.  These include custom prompts, custom navigation, interactive features, custom visualizations and custom export functionality.  During our presentation we will discuss many of these customizations and the value they provide to end users.
