The 2018 Critical Capabilities report has been published, and we’re incredibly excited to share that MicroStrategy has received the highest product scores out of 22 vendors for three of the five use cases cited in the report. The Gartner report places MicroStrategy:
- #1 in Governed Data Discovery, scoring a 4.22 out of 5
- #1 in Agile Centralized BI Provisioning, scoring a 4.37 out of 5
- #1 in Decentralized Analytics, scoring a 4.19 out of 5
- #2 in Extranet Deployment, scoring 4.16 out of 5
Adding it all up, MicroStrategy had the highest total score of any vendor in the 2018 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Analytics and BI for its Critical Capabilities use cases. Gartner’s Future-forward Insights for Analytics and Business Intelligence
Another highlight of the Gartner Critical Capabilities for Analytics and Business Intelligence Platforms Report is its strategic planning assumptions. These near-future insights show that solution innovation is rapidly accelerating and that organizations must stay in-the-know of both expected and differentiating vendor capabilities. For example, Gartner predicts that by 2020, natural language generation and artificial intelligence will be a standard feature of 90% of modern business intelligence platforms.
In its key findings, Gartner also notes that significant differences remain between competing platforms, and between which platforms are best suited for given use cases.
