MicroStrategy Receives Highest Use Case Scores Again in Gartner’s Critical Capabilities Report

For 30 years, our goal at MicroStrategy has been to bring intelligence to every employee, every device, and every business process.

To deliver on this vision, an analytics platform must have the ability to securely scale information delivery across the enterprise and the ability to embed into the everyday workflows employees are already familiar with. We are proud to report that MicroStrategy has received the highest product scores for enterprise analytics and embedded analytics use cases in Gartner's 2020 Critical Capabilities for Analytics and Business Intelligence Platforms report.

We believe these scores recognize our enterprise platform's ability to scale and the capabilities of our open Enterprise Semantic Graph—which, together, deliver trusted information across large enterprise deployments.

A key differentiator for us is our open architecture which embraces and augments the most popular business tools and technologies. A great example of this modern, open approach can be seen in HyperIntelligence, a new category of embedded analytics which brings insights and actions to the applications employees use every day, including Slack, Workday, Salesforce, and Outlook.

In Gartner’s 2020 Critical Capabilities report, among 20 solution providers, MicroStrategy scored:

The highest use case score in Enterprise Analytics: 4.86 out of 5**

The highest use case score in Embedded Analytics: 4.96 out of 5**

MicroStrategy also scored a 4.46 out of 5** in the report’s Advanced Analytics use case, a 4.55 out of 5** in Visual Self-service Analytics, and a 4.24 out of 5** in both General Analytics and Cloud Analytics in Gartner’s 2020 report.

Gartner's Key Findings

In the report, Gartner also offers key findings and recommendations around analytics use, investments, and focus areas. In our understanding, the analyst firm recommends that data and analytics leaders should begin focusing more on the analytics consumer and bringing insights directly to their natural workflow. In its key findings, Gartner also notes the increased use of knowledge graphs to help to serve up more relevant and personalized information as the amount and complexity of data grows.

We believe MicroStrategy uniquely addresses both of these recommendations with HyperIntelligence and the Enterprise Semantic Graph. Our 30 years of product advancement and innovation is paying off for those organizations looking to build an Intelligent Enterprise and competitive advantage with a modern, open, enterprise platform that makes every employee 100X smarter and faster.
