MicroStrategy Earns Dresner Advisory Services Industry Excellence Award as a CX, Technology and Trust Leader

We're thrilled to announce that MicroStrategy has been recognized with a Dresner Advisory Services 2019 Industry Excellence Award. This award is bestowed on a small set of analytics software providers that have achieved leadership status in two industry-rating models included in one or more of Dresner Advisory Services' 2019 Wisdom of Crowds® Business Intelligence (BI), Enterprise Performance Management (EPM), and/or Analytical Data Infrastructure (ADI) Market Studies.

When it comes to MicroStrategy, we have been recognized as an overall leader in the Customer Experience and Technology Leaders Model of the Wisdom of Crowds® Business Intelligence (BI) Market Study. This model plots customer sales and service experiences against customer sentiment regarding the product.

We’ve also been recognized as a Trust Leader for BI in Dresner’s Vendor Credibility Model which considers a vendor’s relationship with customers, plotting perceived value for price paid against a calculated “confidence” score. Trust Leaders are vendors whose customers report a solid perceived confidence.

The best part is that this award is based on data collected from end users. While it’s extremely gratifying to receive an industry analyst award, it’s even sweeter when it’s based on customers’ feedback about their experience, satisfaction in our product, and trust in MicroStrategy. Recognition like this not only inspires our product; it inspires our people.

Findings from the Wisdom of Crowds® Business Intelligence Market Study

A special note that this is the 10th anniversary of Dresner Advisory Services’ Wisdom of Crowds® Business Intelligence Market Study. The report includes analyses of adoption and deployment, staffing, budgets, technology, state of data, action on insights and success when it comes to BI. A few highlights from this interesting and informative study:

  • The top business intelligence objective for responding organizations remains “better decision making,” followed by “growth in revenues” and “improved operational efficiency/cost savings” - now critical or very important to more than 70% of organizations.
  • While large majorities are increasingly confident in the “state of data” (up noticeably this year), less are confident in their ability to “act on insight.”
  • Twenty-seven percent (27%) of respondents say they replaced their existing BI product with another in 2019. The primary reasons for replacement are functionality (80%) and modernization (61%). Cost was the least cited primary reason for replacing an existing BI solution (17%).
