4 Things You Can Expect to See at a MicroStrategy Symposium

Coming together to learn from our peers is one of the best ways to discover new ideas.  In order to reach as many companies as possible and help them jumpstart their analytics, mobility, and security initiatives, we’ve hosted a series of symposia around the world—phenomenal one-day events packed with the latest insights on big data, mobile app development, dashboard design, and security.

In just the first half of this year, we spoke to over 4,700 people from organizations around the world about MicroStrategy 10, our groundbreaking enterprise analytics platform. Attending a symposium was a great opportunity for those interested in learning how MicroStrategy can be implemented across their organizations. Product experts and senior executives were on hand to share expertise while some of our customers gave real-world examples of how they have leveraged MicroStrategy’s enterprise analytics solution to increase revenues, cut costs, and optimize operations. All told, we heard from global leaders about the innovative ways they’re using the platform, showcased new product features, and formed new relationships with companies representing a wide variety of industries.

Innovative Ideas

Data has become the lifeblood of business. From panels to solo sessions, every symposia event includes interesting, in-the-trenches examples of how companies are working with MicroStrategy to more effectively manage and leverage information and insights. You can expect to see presentations from leading organizations across a wide variety of industries. These speakers will share some of their strategies and their greatest insights from their experience with MicroStrategy, so you can leave with new ideas and tactics for your organization to try out. 

Thought-Provoking Conversations

Sometimes the best ideas come from other industries. What can retail innovation teach healthcare companies? What do airlines and food companies have in common? At the MicroStrategy Symposia, you can expect to take part in lively conversations about data and analytics with representatives from a wide variety of industries. There's always an abundance of conversation after presentations and during networking hours, as attendees find similarities in issues they’re working through and look to other attendees for advice. 

Face Time with MicroStrategy Leaders

Each symposium is kicked off with opening remarks and a keynote address by a MicroStrategy executive. Our CEO Michael Saylor spoke at many events throughout the first half of the year and will continue to throughout 2016. Our Sales Engineers and Product Marketing executives will give detailed demos as part of the keynote, highlighting updates and new features offered in the MicroStrategy 10 platform. You can also look forward to seeing a set of core product sessions, hands-on workshops, and new solution-focused presentations.

Inspirational Venues

Getting into a creative frame of mind can sometimes require a change of scenery. We always look to hold our events in beautiful, inspiring and historic venues. In February, we gathered at the elegant NH Collection Eurobuilding in Madrid. In April, we came together at the University of Toronto Hart House, surrounded by 100-year-old stained glass windows inside a gothic cathedral. Our surroundings during these events gave us all a creative setting for brainstorming and collaboration and immersed us in the cultures of our host cities. You can expect even more beautiful, inspirational venues at our events in July!
