Support Expiration Schedule

Expected Expiration Dates

The on-prem MicroStrategy platform is updated on a quarterly release cycle. Unlike large annual releases, smaller quarterly releases are intended to reduce the disruption and complexity of keeping current with the latest release.  

We strongly recommend that customers consistently upgrade to the latest release to take advantage of the latest features and essential security updates. However, we understand that some organizations have policies which limit the number of upgrade activities in their production environments. In consideration, each quarterly release will be supported for 24-months from its original release date.

Support for MicroStrategy 2020 and its updates expired on December 31, 2022.  Support for MicroStrategy 2019 and its updates expired on December 31, 2021.

Migration Resources

All customers with current maintenance plans are eligible to upgrade to equivalent products in the latest version. These products are available for download to customers with valid MicroStrategy Support Site accounts.
