Bank of America, Bayer & The Warehouse Group Take Home the Goods from MicroStrategy World 2024
Every year at MicroStrategy World, we honor a select few customers as award winners for achievements that exemplify the best of all things data analytics. This year’s 3 winners do not disappoint, boasting a successful frontline solution rollout at scale, accelerated impact with cloud, and cutting-edge innovation combining generative AI and BI.
We hope you’re as inspired as we were—and that you’ll join us in toasting the awesome achievements of Bank of America, Bayer & The Warehouse Group. Hoorah!
Business Impact Award Winner: Bank of America
Bank of America, a global financial leader and the second-largest U.S. bank, commemorated its successful company-wide launch of the Morning Business Brief mobile app with another accolade—being named this year’s Business Impact Award winner. This customized iPad app is used daily in 3,600 financial centers across the U.S. to effectively put insights into the hands of banking associates that help enhance the financial lives of customers with every connection.
"My team comes to work every day knowing our job is to build the best analytics solutions we can. The Morning Business Brief was a big initiative that had a huge productivity impact by helping our financial center associates provide the best experience for our customers," said Mike Napolin, a Business Intelligence Executive in the Data, Digital & Global Marketing organization at Bank of America. "To be recognized by MicroStrategy is really the pinnacle of our accomplishment.”
Innovation Award Winner: The Warehouse Group
The Warehouse Group, New Zealand's largest non-food merchandise retailer with about 180 stores across the country, was honored for its commitment to continuous innovation and impact with AI. TWG consistently embraces cutting-edge technologies to drive business value with data and boasts impactful analytics anecdotes that span its organization. They locked in this year’s Innovation Award win after successfully launching several MicroStrategy AI-powered “Auto” bots, among other GenAI capabilities to achieve analytics efficiencies, that enhance users’ access to answers across the business.
“It’s amazing to receive one of MicroStrategy’s 3 customer awards. We’re at the bottom of the world in a small country, so you can sometimes feel like you're a long way from what's happening,” said TWG’s Keryn McKenzie. “It’s so exciting to show that we’re truly innovating and thinking at the cutting edge to help shape the future of AI in the BI world is so exciting. I’m so proud of the team and of our partnership with MicroStrategy.”
Intelligent Enterprise Award Winner: Bayer
Bayer, one of the world's largest and most admired pharmaceutical companies, was honored for its successful embrace of MicroStrategy Cloud as a vehicle for accelerating delivery of end-to-end data and analytics capabilities to democratize data across their field force and home office. The team built a bespoke mobile app that ultimately helped its field workforce drive better, more personalized customer experiences through its variety of direct engagements with healthcare providers and networks.
"About two years ago, we started our digital transformation journey where we completely rebuilt our data products and our analytics on top of that," said Bayer's Mathew Ratnam. "We delivered a truly impactful solution that benefits our field force on a day-to-day basis, and we adopted the managed cloud with no disruption to our business. Receiving a MicroStrategy award as validation on top of all of that was the cherry on top."
Many congratulations to each of this year’s winners. We’re so proud of what you accomplished this year—and we look forward to sharing more about each incredible story soon!
