Certifications

MicroStrategy offers its certifications onsite, at testing centers, and also in an Anytime/Anywhere environment. The Anytime/Anywhere testing environment hosts MicroStrategy certification exams in a secured, online assessment system. Students who enroll for exams through this environment have the ability to take the exams at any location (with a reliable Internet connection) and at any time.

Certification programs are for anyone who would like to learn how to develop and implement BI applications on the MicroStrategy platform. If you have MicroStrategy Certified Developer (MCD) or MicroStrategy Certified Engineer (MCE) certification on an older version of MicroStrategy software and would like to update your credentials for the current version, you need only pass our upgrade exam.

MicroStrategy Certified Developer MicroStrategy Developer certification includes 12 days of class instruction plus three exams and a final project.

MicroStrategy Certified Engineer MicroStrategy Developer certification is a prerequisite to the engineer program. To go on to engineer certification, you'll need four additional days of class instruction plus a final exam.

MicroStrategy Certified Engineering Principal MicroStrategy Engineer certification is a prerequisite to the engineering principal program. To go on to engineering principal certification, you'll need five additional days of class instruction plus a final exam.

You can become certified in a number of BI functional processes.

Certified Project Designer – The project designer program includes four days of class instruction plus a final exam.

Certified Report Developer – The report developer program includes three days of class instruction plus an exam.

Certified Document Developer – The document developer program includes five days of class instruction plus a final exam. Note that one of the classes has prerequisites.

Certified Platform Administrator – The platform administrator program includes four days of class instruction plus a final exam.

Certified Engine Specialist – The engine specialist program includes five days of class instruction plus a final exam. Note that the first course has prerequisites; a certified MicroStrategy project designer will have met those prerequisites.
