- Formatting Persists After Data Updates: Microsoft Office formatting changes and logic created within Excel files are saved and preserved after automatic data updates.

- Limited Parameterization in Microsoft Office: BO’s Microsoft Office plug-ins offer limited prompting functionality. For example, Live Office does not support the ability to prompt on the set of metrics and attributes to incorporate in the report, also referred to as column prompts.
- Inconsistent Access to BO content and data sources: BO’s Live Office cannot connect to SAP BW InfoCubes.
