Training for Technical Users (Project Team/IT)
MicroStrategy Education recognizes that not all jobs require the same training. We have created training offerings targeting the roles individuals play within your development effort designed to maximize your team’s productivity. We understand that the learning needs for each member of your team change over the course of a project lifecycle therefore a variety of learning methods is important to ensure timely and adequate comprehension. MicroStrategy Education offers the breadth of our education offerings year-round in multiple delivery formats across the globe. This ensures that your team members get the training they need “just in time” for the next phase in your project.

Training for End Users (Business)
Organizations choose from a range of MicroStrategy End User Training programs to combine functional and business training into one curriculum using any combination of Instructor-led and Online education courses.

  • Free Online Training – provides a convenient, zero-cost entry point to begin exposing end users to MicroStrategy software; start your end users with Introduction to MicroStrategy Web and move on to Reporting Essentials
  • Online Training for MicroStrategy Web – extensive online training for MicroStrategy Web Reporters, Analysts, and Professionals, which can be customized and hosted via a Web server or integrated into either your or MicroStrategy’s Learning Management System
  • Instructor-led Distance Learning – private program that allows your project team members to be trained without leaving the office
  • Instructor-led Self Service Training Program – allows you to customize your users’ training and includes Train-the-Trainer instructor certification and courseware licensing, enabling ownership of the ongoing course delivery as your user base grows
  • Instructor-led Full Service Training Program – expert MicroStrategy educators work with you to customize and deliver training courses from beginning to end

Course Types:

Instructor-Led Courses
We have two types of instructor-led offerings: Standard Courses and Curriculum Tracks. All of these courses can be delivered publicly in a classroom setting at public training centers throughout the world. If attending an in-person class is not convenient, the same course can be delivered remotely through our distance learning option. If you have more than six individuals who need training in the same course, it may make sense that you ask MicroStrategy to deliver the training privately, onsite at your location. MicroStrategy uses experienced, certified Education Consultants and sub-contractors to deliver quality education geared to successful MicroStrategy implementation that positively impacts the customer’s business and IT functions.

Certifications
Our Certification Programs are designed to ensure that individuals have the technical skills required to develop and implement BI applications based upon the MicroStrategy platform. To this end, we offer three types of certification programs: Comprehensive (Certified Developer & Certified Engineer), Focus Area (concentrating on certain functional areas), and Renewal (annual exams that ensure certifications are up-to-date).

Free Online Courses
We also offer a free, scalable, self-paced, easy to use training solution for a variety of users. Topics range from Reporting Essentials to Advanced Reporting and Project Design to Administration. Learn how to build Dynamic Dashboards, leverage Data Mining, and roll out BI to Office and Mobile users. Gain deep exposure to core components of the MicroStrategy platform. Also included are courses focused on What’s New in the Latest Release and a Companion Series.

Customized Courses
MicroStrategy also provides flexibility in training your teams by creating custom courses built upon our proven education templates. While our core offerings meet the education needs of most clients, customized courses can help ensure user acceptance by allowing users to relate the tool to a specific business application. Options range from accelerated custom agendas and customized exercises to complete course customization and course creation.

Education Programs:

Perennial Education Pass (PEP)
MicroStrategy's PEP Program offers customers the utmost flexibility in educating each employee. The PEP Program is an annual program that provides named users unlimited access to public MicroStrategy instructor-led courses and unlimited access to MicroStrategy's online course via the web for one membership fee.

Adoption Management Program (AMP)
MicroStrategy offers an end-to-end solution to ensure gains in user productivity and application adoption. Our AMP program gives you peace of mind by having MicroStrategy manage all aspects of training assessment, development and deployment for your entire user community. MicroStrategy incorporates blended learning into our approach to ensure all users are learning what they need in an efficient and effective manner, thus ensuring maximum return on your MicroStrategy investment.

Education Packages
MicroStrategy now offers an easy, cost-effective way of buying education! Our packages offer a built-in volume discount and provide you with a number of education credits called Learning Units. Learning Units are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase and can be used for a variety of education offerings.

Education Assessments
MicroStrategy now offers an Education Assessments meeting at your location specifically to meet with various individuals to gather the information required to formulate a training strategy to best suit your staff and your project needs.
