University Recruiting: Software Quality Engineers
Software Quality Engineers are specialized employees who work directly with software developers to produce best of class enterprise software. To better do their job, they concentrate on specific areas of software development and testing including:
- Product Quality Engineering: Develop and test new features across the MicroStrategy platform from our newest iPhone and iPad products to our best in class SQL engine.
- Performance and Reliability Engineering: Develop and implement large scale tests to ensure that MicroStrategy products continue to lead the industry in scalability by supporting hundreds of thousands of users with sub 5 second response times and up times close to 100%.
- Internationalization Quality Engineering: Put MicroStrategy products through a rigorous Quality Assurance process developed to ensure that our products function equally well in English, Japanese, German, and close to 20 other locales and languages.

Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering or Science
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Process oriented and ability to pay close attention to details
- Team oriented individual
Job Duties (include but not limited to):
- Participate in the design of new functionality for the different products in our Business Intelligence software
- Develop product use cases that will be used for design and testing of new features
- Research and identify flaws in our products before they are released to the public
- Participate in the analysis and resolution of issues
- Develop product expertise; work with engineering teams to ensure cross-product quality
- Develop automation testing programs
- Gather knowledge about the needs of our customers; simulate customer settings and usage patterns of our technology in a controlled environment
