MicroStrategy-enriched portals enable users to have access to all 5 Styles of BI: enterprise reporting, dashboards and scorecards, ad hoc query and OLAP analysis, advanced analysis and data mining, and alerting and report delivery. Organizations can extend the reach of BI reporting and analysis by deploying the full range of BI functionality, formatting, and user interactivity available in the MicroStrategy Web interface into SharePoint.

MicroStrategy exposes the full range of BI functionality via web parts and lets organizations create dashboard-style applications by embedding multiple MicroStrategy web parts on a single portal page. MicroStrategy web parts can embed folders, reports, documents, user history lists, and a search page into the portals through easy-to-configure screens. Each MicroStrategy web part can be further configured to provide the appropriate interactive reporting capabilities required, such as:

• Drilling for more details within the web part or to a new window

MicroStrategy Web accomplishes all of its functionality through a cookie-less, zero-footprint Web client without using ActiveX® or Java Applets resident in or downloaded to the Web browser. Thanks to these capabilities, MicroStrategy Web works seamlessly through all standard Web firewalls, making deployment straightforward and minimizing administration overhead.
