Microsoft Certified Backend Databases

  • MicroStrategy certifies Microsoft SQL Server 2000, 2005 and 2008 as data warehouse and metadata platforms. Microsoft Analysis Services is also certified as an OLAP cube data source. MicroStrategy also provides an MDX Engine that dynamically generates MDX syntax to execute against SQL Server Analysis Services.
  • MicroStrategy’s dynamic SQL generation engine produces optimized SQL code for each of the certified versions of SQL Server and takes advantage of a vast amount of SQL Server specific optimizations, including but not limited to temporary table generation, derived tables, and analytical and OLAP functions.
  • Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access can also be used as a data source for reporting and analysis.
  • MicroStrategy participates actively in Microsoft’s SQL Server Early Adopters Program.

  • MicroStrategy certifies a wide range of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems for its server, desktop and web based product offerings, in 12 different languages:

  • MicroStrategy Web products are certified with Microsoft Internet Information Server versions 5, 6, 7 and 7.5.
  • MicroStrategy certifies Internet Explorer versions 6, 7 and 8 as web client browsers.
  • Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server 2007 is certified as a portal server for MicroStrategy.
  • .Net 2.0, 3.0, and 3.5 are certified as runtime environments for MicroStrategy Web SDK.

Microsoft Office Certified Versions:

  • MicroStrategy Office is certified with Microsoft Office versions 2002, 2003 and 2007 in 33 different languages.
  • MicroStrategy client applications have the ability to export report outputs to Microsoft Office versions 2002, 2003 and 2007.
