StarQuest Software Joins MicroStrategy’s DSS Partners Program

Partnership to provide fast, reliable and scalable decision support solutions to access IBM databases

Berkeley, CA, March 9, 1999—StarQuest Software, a leading provider of high performance data connectivity products for applications accessing IBM databases on mainframe and midrange systems, today announced that it has joined the MicroStrategy® (NASDAQ: MSTR) DSS Partners™ Program. MicroStrategy Incorporated is a leading worldwide provider of mission-critical decision support systems.

StarQuest will use MicroStrategy’s comprehensive decision support product line, DSS Suite™, to provide customers with enterprise-wide data warehouse solutions delivering superior database performance. As the most robust database driver in the DB2 connectivity market, StarQuest’s StarSQL Enterprise Edition provides fast, seamless access to data from IBM databases on mainframe, midrange, UNIX or NT systems by ODBC-enabled PC applications through either a TCP/IP or SNA network. StarSQL EE has completed full product certification with MicroStrategy’s DSS Server™, the scalable, multi-user server in MicroStrategy’s DSS Suite.
