MicroStrategy and NCR Expand Scope of Global Value-Added Reseller Agreement
MicroStrategy's DSS Suite Offered As Analysis Engine With NCR's Retail Data Warehouse Solutions
Vienna, VA, April 20, 1999 -- MicroStrategy Incorporated (NASDAQ: MSTR), a leading worldwide provider of mission-critical decision support systems, today announced that NCR Corporation (NYSE: NCR) will resell MicroStrategy’s DSS Suite™ intelligence platform with NCR’s retail data warehouse solution offerings.
Under the agreement, NCR will offer DSS Suite with retail data warehouse applications that help retailers transform point-of-service and operational data into business value. These applications leverage the use of detailed data to optimize merchandise assortments and inventory productivity, improve customer service and promotion effectiveness, and enhance relationships with vendors and customers. NCR’s solutions, built on the foundation of the NCR Teradata Warehouse, are designed to help retailers make informed decisions that directly impact every customer, every product and every location.

NCR also plans to resell DSS Suite with its cross-industry solutions, aimed at addressing the needs of retailers and financial services organizations—as well as industries such as manufacturing, health care, telecommunications, and transportation—that require state of the art customer relationship management solutions.
Last October, NCR and MicroStrategy announced an agreement covering the resale of DSS Suite with NCR’s SmartEC Decisions solution.
