McLean, VA., January 19, 2006 – MicroStrategy® Incorporated (NASDAQ: MSTR), a leading worldwide provider of business intelligence software, today announced that the latest release of MicroStrategy 8 will offer access to multidimensional data sources, including Microsoft Analysis Services and Hyperion Essbase.
Using MicroStrategy 8, businesses can report on, analyze, and monitor data contained in all major relational databases as well as multidimensional sources from SAP, Microsoft, and Hyperion. The newest release of MicroStrategy 8 will make it easier for customers to standardize on MicroStrategy for enterprise-wide reporting and analysis.
MicroStrategy’s Relational Online Analytical Processing (ROLAP) engine interactively accesses some of the largest and most robust data warehouses in business and government, using MicroStrategy’s optimized dynamic SQL capability.
