Support Expiration
Schedule for Platform Versions 7.0.x and 7.1.x
Due to the release of MicroStrategy 7i,
which includes product versions 7.2.0 and higher, MicroStrategy
Technical Support expired the support for several product
versions that are part of the MicroStrategy 7 Business Intelligence
platform.
Support was expired for the following product versions and
their respective service packs and patches on March 1, 2004.
MicroStrategy will no longer answer inquiries or provide
software corrections for the following products and versions:
- MicroStrategy Administration™, 7.0.x, 7.1.x
- MicroStrategy Agent™ ,7.0.x, 7.1.x
- MicroStrategy BI Developer Kit™, 7.1.x
- MicroStrategy Architect™, 7.0.x, 7.1.x
- MicroStrategy Desktop™, 7.0.x, 7.1.x
- MicroStrategy eTrainer™ for Agent, Web, Web Customization
and SDK, 7.0.x, 7.1.x
- MicroStrategy Intelligence Server™ , 7.0.x, 7.1.x
- MicroStrategy MDX Adapter™, 7.1.x
- MicroStrategy Narrowcast Server™ , 7.0.x, 7.1.x
- MicroStrategy OLAP Provider™, 7.1.x
- MicroStrategy SDK with Distributable Runtime Environment,
7.0.x, 7.1.x
- MicroStrategy SDK™, Java Edition, 7.0.x, 7.1.x
- MicroStrategy Transactor™ , 7.0.x, 7.1.x
- MicroStrategy Web™, 7.0.x, 7.1.x
MicroStrategy's goals in implementing
this expiration are to allow us to focus our efforts toward current and
future versions of our products, retool our system resources to support
the latest and best versions, and increase customer satisfaction by ensuring
that our Technical Support personnel are well trained and up to date on
the latest MicroStrategy products and technologies.
All customers with current maintenance plans are eligible to upgrade to
the equivalent MicroStrategy 7i products. These products are
available on CD and via the MicroStrategy
Download Site for customers with valid MicroStrategy Support Site
accounts. We encourage customers to upgrade to the latest version of the
MicroStrategy 7i platform available on the MicroStrategy Download
Site. Additionally, due to the release of MicroStrategy 7.5.0, customers
should consider upgrading to MicroStrategy 7.5.0 rather than limiting
themselves to the latest service pack of MicroStrategy 7i - 7.2.0.
Migration planning and implementation services are available through MicroStrategy
Consulting and can be requested through your Account Manager. If you have
