SQL-Retail BIS is a comprehensive Retail Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence System designed to ensure that everyone within a retail organization has the most accurate and up to date information required to make critical business decisions with confidence. The system has been architected using the latest .NET technology from Microsoft, with embedded analysis and reporting tools from Microstrategy.

At the heart of SQL-Retail BIS is a multi-dimensional database designed to store data in such a way as to facilitate rapid, flexible access by users. Access to information in the data warehouse is provided by the Microstrategy toolset. Reports and queries can be initiated by users from anywhere in the organization, using the desktop or web browser interfaces provided as standard. Information can also be generated on a scheduled basis centrally and ‘broadcast’ to groups of users or even to individuals, as required.

A wide range of client devices can be used to query the data warehouse, including mobile devices such as notebooks, pocket PC’s and cellular phones. Thus, the SQL-Retail BIS package will provide a number of ways in which information can be disseminated throughout a retailer’s organization utilizing the power of the internet.
