Basic Function:  Responsible for creating the visual look and feel of various MicroStrategy User Interfaces combining a rich sense of design and artistic elegance with functional needs. We are looking for individuals that have

• A deep appreciation for simple solutions to presenting complex problems
  
• A keen eye for design, inside and outside the realm of software
  
• Experience creating rich and elegant interactive user experiences for new media
  
• Excellent artistic ability and a high degree of creativity

Graphic Designers will work with our developers to build the next generation of interactive visual designs to support our Business Intelligence platform. Make a difference by designing user experiences that will revolutionize how our customers interact with their mission-critical applications. Successful designers will have a passion for design, a strong appreciation for user-centric design, a love of technology and excellent communication skills.

Job Duties (include but not limited to):

• Work with UI designers and Program Managers to design aesthetically pleasing User Interface designs
  
• Contribute to solving design challenges based on the functional requirements of the media
  
• Build mock ups and prototypes for the user interface portions of new features, dialogs, icons and other visual elements in the product
  
• Research new user interface paradigms  put into use by gaming companies, Web 2.0 software companies, popular mobile applications and consumer focused web sites and analyze applicability in our space
  
• Acquire knowledge of the BI domain to come up with creative applications for the mobile medium
  
• Develop and maintain style guides and icon libraries to support Desktop, Web and Mobile interfaces

Job Requirements:

• Education: Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Arts
  
• Excellent knowledge of tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and other design tools required
  
• 1+ years of demonstrable experience in software graphic design preferably in a commercial or consumer focused software development enterprise
  
• Experience creating images for use in web based software applications and mobile devices desirable
  
• Ability to create icons, layouts and color schemes to use with our demo applications and software
  
• Strong analytical and communication skills. Must be able to learn new technologies and the domain space very quickly and present ideas in a team setting
  
• Must have the eagerness to constantly strive to innovate and the ability to initiate discussions regarding new ideas
  
• Team-oriented individual, positive attitude, energetic, result & delivery oriented, keen interest on quality and intense attention to detail
