Basic Function: Work very closely with other System Administrators on daily activities of configuration and operation of mission-critical business systems. Duties include Active Directory architecture design, implementation, and administration; DNS, DHCP and WINS administration; Exchange 2003 design, implementation, and administration; monitoring and management of all worldwide Data Center infrastructure.

Job Duties (include but not limited to): 

• Manage and build servers to support needs of a large IT company
  
• Troubleshoot problems or issues with software and hardware in a systems engineer atmosphere Performs hardware and software evaluations and make recommendations
  
• Performs application Compatibility / Interoperability Testing / Application Packaging
  
• Develop and maintain documentation required to support the servers infrastructure

Job Requirements:

• Active Directory and Exchange basic experience
  
• Multiple forests and domains
  
• Remote sites with W2k or W2k3 domain controllers
  
• AD & Exchange or 2k3 architectural integration
  
• Microsoft Active Directory Integrated DNS
  
• Exchange 2k3 with multiple remote sites
  
• Corporate experience with environments greater than 50 W2k/W2k3 servers and greater than 1000 client machines
  
• User account creation/administration
  
• Server backup and data/systems recovery/restores
  
• Configure, monitor, and maintain Dell PowerEdge Intel (W2k/2003) Servers
  
• Troubleshoot hardware and software problems, test and apply S/W patches as warranted
  
• Migrations to Windows 2003 (Server, Exchange, Desktop, etc)
  
• Assist with antigen, spam filtering and other infrastructure tools
  
• Keep the data center and surrounding work areas neat, clean, and safe
  
• Inventory, upgrade, and/or repair hardware and related equipment
  
• Storage Area Network maintenance and monitoring
  
• Experience in a hands-on systems engineering role
  
• SMS, MOM, and NetBackup knowledge
  
• Solid work history with no “job hopping”
  
• Last two positions or more in a related role
  
• ADSI knowledge/experience very helpful
  
• Organized, detail-oriented, and strong self-discipline
  
• Sharp, analytical thinker – enjoys solving problems, uses both logic and innovation.
  
• College education in a related field preferred
  
• Professional Certifications (or equivalent training/experience) preferred (Windows 2000/2003 MCSE, Active Directory Services, Deployments, etc.)
