Basic Function: The Performance Engineer plays a vital role in ensuring the quality of the Angel.com product as it evolves at the software and systems/infrastructure level. They have experience with the best practices in quality assurance and test automation, and are masters of their craft. They have a determined appetite to adopt new technologies and testing methodologies.

Job Duties (include but not limited to):

• Ensures that a solution will be designed, implemented, and operationally supported to meet the performance requirements defined for the solution   
  
• Scope performance testing efforts, prioritize test cases, develop solid project milestones
  
• Design and run extensive overhead, scalability, stability, and stress tests using industry standard tools and custom developed software
  
• Develop robust benchmark workloads based on production traffic patterns and anticipated feature usage with varying load levels and working sets
  
• Design appropriately sized environments to generate load against the SUT
  
• Analyze and summarize test results in reports, capacity planning / best practice guides
  
• Develop and review test plans, results analysis, capacity planning guides
  
• Automate test scenarios using scripting languages
  
• Design, implement and execute automated tests on IVR/CTI software product features with Empirix Hammer Call Master
  
• Extend sophisticated end to end automation frameworks
  
• Reproduce critical customer situations requiring special performance tests or simulations
  
• Evaluating the various Testing tools, recommends and implementing test tools

Job Requirements:

• BS/MS degree in a Computer related discipline
  
• 2+ years of experience in Software as a Service (SaaS) companies
  
• Must have testing experiences in environment involving with Linux, J2EE Application Servers, Apache/Tomcat, Wireshark/Ethereal, Apache, JBoss, and Oracle to configure and troubleshoot independently; experiences with SIP, VXML, CCXML a plus
  
• Must have programming or scripting experiences to automate testing and simulation; experiences with Ruby or Perl, JMeter, Groovy, SIPp, and Empirix Hammer a plus
  
• Must have experiences of reviewing logs, and network packets to backtrack breaking points
  
• Experiences in cross-departmental collaboration, testing project leadership, high performance systems testing, and high concurrency and volume testing simulation
